Time to think about your entry for the XII International Poster Biennial competition in Finland. One of the categories consists of cultural, social and commercial posters; the other covers environmental theme posters including natural and built environments. All posters have to have been printed after 1 September 1995. Deadline for entries is 21 March.

Budding Heath Robinsons out there should enter “weird but workable inventions” into the Mathmos Floogelbinder Challenge by 15 February. Winners will have their ideas shown at the British Inventors Fair being held at London’s Barbican Centre from 6-9 March. The overall winner gets a giant lunar lava lamp and five days’ consultancy on product development coordination.
