Global expansion for Von Dutch
LA-based clothing brand Von Dutch is opening a flagship store in London’s Covent Garden this week, as part of a long-term global strategy to enter new retail markets.
The retailer is also planning to launch its first store in Moscow before the end of the year and is considering opening more outlets across the UK, says Jonathan Judah, managing director at Von Dutch UK. It is not yet clear if the interior concepts will be developed by Von Dutch’s in-house team or by an external designer.
LA artist Tony Perez has designed the London store, located on Floral Street. It has an ‘urban’ graffiti look across its interiors and uses the Von Dutch iconic pinstripe graphic.
‘More UK stores are defiantly at the back of our minds, but we are not rushing anything and are being very deliberate. It is on our agenda to increase the number of Von Dutch free-standing stores,’ says Judah.
