Imagination shapes Millennium team

Imagination has appointed three senior designers specifically to work on the Millennium Exhibition at Greenwich – and expects to recruit “many more” creatives.

Imagination’s Alex Ritchie, leading the group’s 12-strong project team, says the three recruits will join at the end of the month.

He declines to name the three but adds: “We’ll need more people. This is an enormous project.”

The consultancy also confirms that it will commission regional design consultancies to work on aspects of the event.

Meanwhile, Imagination confirms that it is designing a brand identity for the festival, to be unveiled in February. The first aspect to be completed is a dark blue M to label operating company Millennium Central. The M will feature in the full identity, according to an Imagination spokeswoman.
