That Design Defectiveness Awards shortlist in full

Perusing the shortlists in the programme at the DBA’s Design Effectiveness Awards last week, Wickens Tutt Southgate director Mark Wickens couldn’t help laughing out loud.

The packaging consultancy is in the throes of negotiating a deal with Rodney Fitch and Virgin, but has also talked to many potential suitors in past months.

One of them was Citigate, owner of Lloyd Northover Citigate. So the typo in the awards programme’s own-brand non-food packaging section prompted the chuckle.

Who was the mystery group shortlisted? “Lloyd Northover Southgate”, apparently.
