Glasgow festival to include design show

Glasgow has announced details of its Festival of Visual Arts ’96, which includes the International Festival of Design – the start of the run up to the city hosting the 1999 City of Architecture and Design.

The International Festival of Design is scheduled for next September and is being managed by Scottish Design.

Chief executive Frank Binnie says: ‘We aim to achieve a popular understanding of design’s many facets and heighten the use of Scotland’s talented design community in industry.’
