The International Council of Graphic Design Associations; The Institute of Lighting Engineers; Towards Sustainable Product Design; The British Sign Language Interpreted Event

The International Council of Graphic Design Associations is holding a special international congress in Seoul, Korea, from 24-27 October. The congress features three days of seminars with prominent members of the international design community.

The Institute of Lighting Engineers is holding a major national seminar on lighting strategies on 18 October. The seminar will bring together presentations from six key interest groups dealing with pedestrians, heritage areas, highways, towns and cities, the countryside and crime reduction.

The conference Towards Sustainable Product Design, from 23-24 October, is organised by the Centre for Sustainable Design. The event will be run in association with German Federal Environment Ministry and Federal Environmental Agency’s Project – Possibilities of Eco-design.

The British Sign Language Interpreted Event takes place on 13 September at 6.30pm. Kate Bush, senior programmer at The Photographers’ Gallery, will discuss the currently displayed work of Catherine Opie.
