Never tyre of design

At last, the designer product we’ve all been holding our breath for – a tyre. Dutch tyre company Vredestein brought in Italian car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro to create Sportrac.

Giugiaro, managing director of Giugiaro Design, is as well known for his ties, sunglasses, jewellery and fashion collections as his car design. The tyre is aimed at drivers of high performance cars and features two circumference grooves on the tread, intended to improve water disposal and reduce the chance of aquaplaning. Thank goodness.
