COI invites pitches for roster

Central Office of Information Communications is assembling a creative roster and inviting consultancies to submit credentials for consideration.

Design groups will be judged against “a full set of professional criteria”, including proven ability, specialist skills, creativity and pricing, according to director of COI publications and digital media Michael Reid.

It will pay particular attention to quality of creative work, evidence of meeting briefs and specialist skills, he says.

“Government communications has never been more demanding or sophisticated. With the vast range of Government initiatives and the diverse audiences they need to reach, we need a wide range [of groups] with a wide range of skills,” he says.

The COI has rosters for advertising, digital media, branding consultancy, exhibitions and events. A place on the roster is no guarantee of business and it will host credentials pitches when new business comes up, Reid says.

Consultancies can apply electronically by e-mailing: creative.suppliers@coi.gsi.gov.uk. The closing date is 23 March.

COI Communications is central Government’s specialist agency for the procurement and marketing of publicity services.
