Mayfair hosts new gay club

The Townhouse, a new private members’ club for gay men, is due to open in London’s Mayfair at the end of this month.

Located in an Edwardian town house in Green Street, the two-storey building will have traditional and modern interiors designed by Eliot Ward of Fraser Ward Design. The menu and wine list are by Argentinian illustrator Federico Botana.

The club, operated by Northbrook Associates has four main areas: a bar, private dining room, lounge and restaurant.

“What we’re trying to do on the upper floor is to use a juxtaposition of the old and new,” explains Ward.
