The National Health Service’s Pensions Agency has spent 20 000 on a new literature project with design by Bull Rodger.

The pack of eight brochures is geared towards NHS employees who may be considering private pension schemes. “We didn’t want to look like the poor second choice and the information before was quite amateurish,” says Bull Rodger director Paul Rodger.

Images of hospitals and medical scenes are used to indicate sections and themes in the literature. “It’s simple but appropriate. We wanted the design to be strongly rooted in the NHS,” adds Rodger.

The London consultancy was approached by the client at a Royal Society for the Arts seminar which focused on marketing in the public sector.
