Designer doesn’t date damsel in distress

His charm offensive may have worked temporarily, but Michael Almond, a graphic designer at Carter Wong Tomlin, still finds himself single, after coming to the aid of a woman who appeared to be in distress.

While sitting innocently in Kensington Gardens, Almond saw a young lady crying. Being a sensitive kinda guy, he consoled the woman, before offering to buy her a coffee.

It was only once the designer had revealed his own sob story about his ex to the damsel in distress, that her true identity was revealed. The poor designer had been duped by a journalist from Cosmopolitan who was writing an article about different tactics for snaring men.

‘He’s definitely the nicest man I met in the whole enterprise… and he’s single,’ writes the undercover hack, having tried different ploys on several other unsuspecting victims.
