Body Shop slow to fill Bonadio’s shoes

The Body Shop is still seeking a replacement for its former global creative director Franco Bonadio, more than six months after he defected to Identica.

The beauty retailer’s creative department comprises about 50 designers specialising in branding, store design, packaging and visual merchandising.

But it has been operating without a head of creative since January, when Bonadio took up his role as Identica’s UK chief executive.

Identica announced that he had accepted the position of chief executive in November, giving the Body Shop three months’ notice to start the recruitment process.

‘We are still running the recruitment process for the creative director role,’ says a spokesman for The Body Shop.

Bonadio joined The Body Shop in 2003 as creative director, replacing Paul Porral, who is now creative director at Design House.
