WPP sets new record for performance

WPP chief executive Martin Sorrell has reported a peak performance in the communications company’s 2004 annual report. But he indicates that prospects for the industry this year are less favourable than for 2004.

Figures from Enterprise IG show that European trading has slowed, partly because low mergers and acquisitions activity led to a fall in corporate identity projects, the report states.
