Domestic appliance design specialist Bliss has worked with Sebastian Conran on an exclusive brand of 50 to 100 household products, mainly for kitchen and bathroom use, called Equilibrium. The first product in the range, to be launched in June, is the kitchen scales and pebble weights, a dishwasher-proof item combining a stainless steel scoop with high-grade polycarbon on a chrome base. The weights are sculpted in the shape of sea-washed pebbles and made from matt nickel cast zinc. Bliss managing director Mike Bliss says: ‘All products will exhibit a degree of functional innovation and are designed to be contemporary classics to last a lifetime.’
