Hayley Newman

Hayley Newman, a performance artist, creates confrontational pieces that evoke the works of older artists such as Marina Abramovic, with whom she has studied.

Newman walked around Soho dressed as a ghost, stole other people’s beers; wore a pair of dark glasses on the Tube rigged to look as if she is permanently crying and begged in Berlin’s U-Bahn among other pieces.

All were documented on video. Sleeping Bag/ Postbag is showing at Beck’s Futures.
