Contemporary Rugs: Art & Design was launched on 6 May

Brighten the Corners has designed Contemporary Rugs: Art & Design, which launched on Monday 6 May, published by Merrell.

Written by rug and textile specialists Christopher Farr and Matthew Bourne, and Fiona Leslie of the Victoria & Albert Museum, the book charts the evolution of rug design over the past 100 years and features 142 pages of contemporary rugs from over 50 innovative designers.

Each rug is positioned on the ‘floor’ of each page, with a liberal use of white space to emphasise the individual design. Text hangs above the rugs and details bleed off the edge of the page.
