Millennium Products on the up

The Design Council has announced a further raft of products to be awarded Millennium Product status.

The Lighthouse, Scotland’s new Centre for Architecture Design and the City, head’s the latest round of 143 award winners, together with three more products from the Glasgow Collection.

The Chasm Chair, digital hand drum Skins and Sub-Surface Laminates bring the Collection’s number of Millennium Product awards to seven, and the total number of Scottish awards to 54.

Avery Associates Architects has been nominated for the British Film Institute’s London IMAX cinema and No 1 Neathouse Place in London’s Victoria.

Chris Wilkinson Architects’ design for the new Stratford station was also honoured, bringing the total number of Millennium Products to 777.
