The YMCA’s in-house design team is set to launch graphics for one of the charity’s operations in London’s King’s Cross next month.

The graphics will be launched as a set of banners at the One KX community centre. They reference the blue, red and yellow colour theme incorporated into the centre’s logo.

These designs have been created by in-house senior graphic designer Ketan Raval to raise awareness of the centre in the local area, and to celebrate its one-year anniversary.

Raval says, ‘The brief was to create a piece of work that represents the communities that use the facilities.’

He continues, ‘One KX serves a diverse range of people, including members of the Bangladeshi, Chinese and Somalian communities, so these designs use colours that draw on their traditional artworks.’

The illustrations will appear on large banners in King’s Cross, positioned on Cromer Street and Judd Street.

One KX is a health and arts centre which offers local residents healthy living talks, art and theatre classes and gym facilities.
