Brighton-based group 021 Creative is designing a suite of marketing materials and developing a brand strategy for Sussex County Cricket Club.
The marketing campaign launches this week, exploiting SCCC’s standing as the world’s oldest cricket club.
021’s materials feature the slogan ‘the oldest club in the world’ and shots of former cricket stars morphing into today’s players. 021 creative director Andrew Hodge says the club’s heritage is an ‘obvious key selling point’.
The project includes a digital e-marketing campaign, corporate and member literature, DVD casing, gift vouchers and the club handbook.
An upcoming campaign will publicise the club’s match against Australia at Hove in June.
The consultancy beat two other groups to secure the contract, which includes the creation of a new brand strategy, to be developed in close collaboration with SCCC sales and marketing manager Ian Davis.
