Liverpool’s Beatles hotel opens

A Hard Day’s Night, the four-star Beatles-themed hotel in Liverpool, will open its doors today, following the city’s unveiling in January as the 2008 European Capital of Culture.

The hotel, with interiors and brand identity by Design LSM, is set in the ‘Beatles Quarter’, near the Cavern Club where the band first rose to fame.

It features 110 individually designed bedrooms, including luxury and deluxe rooms and two penthouses – the specially created Lennon and McCartney suites.

Commissioned artwork, created by Beatles artist Shannon, will feature on the walls of bedrooms and public rooms, telling the story of the pop group.

Two restaurants are available, The Brasserie and Blakes. Blakes’ interiors features images inspired by Sir Peter Black, the artist who designed The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper album. The hotel is also home to two bars – Hari’s and Bar Four.
