Lantern specialises in food, travel, gardening, lifestyle, interior design and art books.
Frost says the imprint is highly regarded in the publishing industry, and has good exposure in bookshops. The rebrand, and new website designs, aim to give Lantern more prominence in online retail.
The consultancy says it focused on the idea of ‘books as enlightenment’. The new Lantern identity features two open books with pages – which can also be read as beams of light, radiating out from them.
For the website, Frost says it took inspiration from ‘classic bordering and literary decoration’.
The consultancy aimed to create a website that would be intuitive for readers as well as a resource for authors.
