Neville Brody, the graphic designer and founder of Research Studios, has been appointed to create this year’s D&AD Awards annual.

The annual, which complements the organisation’s yearly awards scheme, will be published in September and will feature selected entries from designers and creative directors.

D&AD president Simon Waterfall, who chose Brody for the job, says, ‘Neville Brody has been crashing digital and graphical worlds together since the beginning, and it’s fantastic that he has agreed to interpret the annual this year. He has been inspiring designers in multiple disciplines for so long, it will be fantastic to see how he draws them all together under one cover.’

D&AD’s main awards deadline is 25 January, while the deadline for entries to the separate student awards is 20 March. Entrants for the student awards scheme can apply on-line for the first time this year.
