Dixon Baxi creates 13th Street Universal ident

Dixon Baxi has created an on-screen ident for pan-European TV channel 13th Street Universal, which will launch in September.

Consultancy founders Simon Dixon and Aporva Baxi curated last night’s design networking event Glug and gave a sneak preview of the 13th Street Universal ident.

The pair, who collaborate with creative specialists to deliver projects, say they have worked for six TV channels in 18 months.

Working with director Chris Hewitt, an on-screen ident was shot with a specialist camera, which gives high detail in low light. A montage sequence was created for the channel, which will specialise in action, crime and drama.

Last year Heavenly repositioned broadcaster NBC Universal Global Networks, renaming it Universal Networks. The marque for 13th Street Universal was created by Heavenly as part of the project, which saw all portfolio architecture redesigned.

Dixon and Baxi were joined on stage by photographer Jason Tozer, director Cassiano Prado and Studio Output digital creative director Tom Muller, who presented recent work and spoke about collaboration with Dixon Baxi.
