Reed Words and Supafrank create Love Brownies brand

Consultancies Supafrank and Reed Words have created the branding for brownie gifting brand Love Brownies.

Love Brownies is a new service, based in Yorkshire and founded by chef Chantal Teal, to deliver gift boxes of brownies across the UK. Supafrank was appointed to the work last year, having previously worked with Teal on other projects, according to consultancy partner Katie Steel.

Steel says Supafrank commissioned Reed Words to work on the brand’s tone of voice after finding the consultancy through Internet research.Supafrank created the identity and packaging designs for the product, and is working on the website with consultancy We Make Websites.

The speech bubble logo represents the product’s purpose as a way to send messages, and Steel says the external branding on the packaging was kept to a minimum ’so that it’s a big surprise when you open it’. The bubble logo is also used as a repeat pattern on the product’s packaging.

Photography was commissioned from James Champion. Steel says, ’We had to ensure that the customer could understand how sensational these brownies are.’ She adds, ’Our honest, simple approach conveys the taste, quality and heart-felt giving nature of the product.’

Mike Reed, founder of Reed Words, says, ’My job was to combine the sheer luxury of the product with the down-to-earth goodness of its Yorkshire provenance.’ The product will be available through the Love Brownies website, which launches on 27 July.
