New York Cosmos rose to fame in the 1970s, when international stars such as Pelé and Franz Beckenbauer joined the team. However, after the stars left attendances fell and the club lost its television deal and eventually folded in 1984.

The Forest has designed season tickets, which feature images of past heroes of the club and has created season ticket packaging in the form of a football pitch.

Karl Hudson, creative director at The Forest says, ‘The box was produced to send out season tickets and other goodies like supporters’ scarves, booklets and potentially jerseys.’

‘The bottom of the box is a football pitch and the sides are shots from the original Cosmos games at Giant Stadium.’

‘The name Club 71 was inspired by the original Studio 54 nightclub based in NY in the 70s/80s. The club was founded in 1971, hence the Cosmos are keen to hold onto their heritage,’ says Hudson.

New York Cosmos begins its return in August when it enters America’s second tier of football – The North American Soccer League.
