Epoch appointed to Krispy Kreme designs

Bristol-based Epoch Design has been appointed to work on integrated design work for doughnut brand Krispy Kreme UK.

The consultancy, which specialises in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market, was appointed following a three-way competitive pitch. It began work with the client last month.

Other agency partners working alongside Epoch Design include Tangible Branding and Spook Media as Krispy Kreme aims to double its presence in the UK over the next five years.

The work Epoch Design has been tasked with includes strategic brand direction, basic design work, packaging and point-of-sale, along with app development.

Katie de Souza, head of marketing for Krispy Kreme, says, ‘Epoch Design demonstrated a real understanding of our business, brand and consumers and approached the challenge with creative flair and genuine enthusiasm.

‘Their extensive in-store experience and strong FMCG credentials will be a great asset to our team as we move forward,’ she adds.

Epoch Design’s first Krispy Kreme work will be unveiled at the end of the month.
