Imagination buys Swedish firm

The Imagination Group has acquired Swedish events company Hela Programmet International.

The move marks Imagination’s second expansion in Scandinavia, following the appointment of managing director Staffan Landén to its Swedish office last November.

According to a statement from the group, the acquisition reflects Imagination’s ongoing commitment to the Scandinavian design and events market and further development of its global network.

Hela Programmet International was established in 1997 by Lena Abrahamsson Lund, Elisabeth Ahlberg and Charlotte Stenhammar.

Over the past nine years, Hela Programmet has worked on more than 200 events and meetings in Sweden and Europe, working with clients such as The Nobel Foundation, Skandia, Accenture and Stockholm Media Week.

Both Abrahamsson Lund and Ahlberg will begin work at Imagination Scandinavia immediately to help Landén and his team strengthen the creative and strategic communication capabilities.
