Digit founders leave the consultancy

Digit chief executive Andy Chambers and executive creative director Daljit Singh have left the consultancy they co-founded 15 years ago.

The departures were confirmed by WPP advertising agency JWT, which Digit merged with in 2007. Singh and Chambers’ roles will be taken on by the existing Digit management team, according to a JWT statement.

Guy Hayward, chief executive of JWT, says, ‘This has been a tough decision but we are committed to unlocking the great potential that exists in Digit so that it can capitalise on the growth in this sector.’

He added, ‘We thank Andy and Daljit for their work at Digit, and wish them all the best for the future.’

Both Singh and Chambers are believed to be on gardening leave. Neither was able to comment at the time of going to press.

Digit was founded in 1995, and joined the WPP group in 2004, prior to its merger with JWT.
