Sebastian Conran creates new range for Belling

Belling is also undergoing a brand refresh, led by Uniform.

The Belling Design: Sebastian Conran range features ovens, hobs and loadbearing cooker hoods, which can be used to hang utensils from.

The ovens all feature solid metal knobs, inspired by the switches on 1940s fighter planes.

The range, which is available in five colourways, is manufactured in the UK.

Sebastian Conran says, ‘The extraordinary thing about this project was how responsive Belling was as a client – the whole contract was completed in under a year.

‘It just goes to show how quick and responsive you can be when you have manufacturing in the UK.’

Conran says the project is the beginning of a ‘long-term relationship’ with Belling, with lots of on-going projects.

The campaign for the new range has been developed by Uniform, which is working on a refresh of the Belling brand.

Uniform creative director Tim Sharp says, ‘We see an opportunity to bring Belling’s commitment to innovation, design, heritage and excellent customer service to the fore at the same time as building an engaging personality and tone-of-voice for the brand.’

Uniform is retained by Belling brand owner Glen Dimplex Home Appliances and is also working on digital projects for fellow Glen Dimplex brands Stoves, Lec and New World.

The Belling Design: Sebastian Conran range is launching in John Lewis this month before rolling out to other retailers.
