26 Treasures
The latest release from writing supergroup 26 is 26 Treasures – which profiles 104 objects from four national museums (that’s 26 from each).
And continuing the 26 theme, each description is 62 words long (that’s 26 backwards – keep up at the back…).
With exhibits taken from the Victoria & Albert Museum, National Library of Wales, Ulster Museum and National Museum of Scotland, there’s a huge variety on display.
So Sophie Reynolds writes about James II’s wedding suit (‘a suit as full of scratches as a rose garden’) and Lucy Harland takes on a bionic hand (‘will the future understand? That’s out of my hands’).
The beautiful writing is matched by beautiful design by Sam Gray of Made By Fabric, who has matched the writing to the objects through clever use of typesetting and image selection.
