Bristol art venue Watershed has launched a £30 000 competition to create an artwork that will be installed in the city before travelling internationally.
The international Playable City competition calls on artists and designers to create ‘an original, future-facing work, which uses creative technology to explore the theme of the playable city’.
The winning work may be sited outdoors or indoors but it must be in a place with public access and be accessible for at least two months in the city before touring internationally.
The organisers say they are looking for ‘artists and creatives who can demonstrate a history of delivering high-quality, innovative practice’.
The deadline for applications is 5 December. The shortlist will be published in December and the winner will be announced in January 2013
