Designer Pudsey 2012
Children in Need has released its Designer Pudsey 2012 collection, which sees imaginative re-workings of Pudsey Bear by fashion houses including Mulberry, Burberry and Alexander McQueen.
Consultancy Fivefootsix has designed branding, packaging and exhibitions at London and Manchster Selfridges stores, which will host the ursine creations.
Every conceivable material has gone into the bears, from suede to Swarovski crystal and stylistically, as you can see, interpretations vary from the likes of Gucci’s equestrian effort to Burberry’s gent; although we think they’ve all overlooked a Children in Tweed opportunity.
Fivefootsix, which has also worked on The Children in Need brand, has designed the logo and all collateral for the 2012 Collection.
This includes Selfridges in –store graphics, packaging for limited edition 25cm bears and leaflets.
Fivefootsix says, ‘We’re still busy working on exhibition design for the main auction at Christie’s in November, invites, the auction catalogue and a special book about the whole event.’
