Bright future for Navyblue 3D

Three Navyblue 3D board directors have negotiated a management buyout of the exhibition and interiors division of Edinburgh-based design group Navyblue. The company will relaunch as Bright 3D.

Ewan McCarthy, Kate McHugh (pictured) and Harry Fisher will head the new consultancy, which retains all 11 staff from Navyblue 3D.

McCarthy, McHugh and Fisher founded Navyblue 3D in 2004 as a joint venture with Navyblue Design Group. They claim that turnover at the division has increased from £750 000 to £1.3m in the past three years.

The company has secured a contract from the Sultan of Oman to design an interpretation centre for the new Oman Botanic Garden.

Bright 3D also plans to continue work on a new visitor centre at Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Garden.
