Israel’s Robbie Williams seeks fresh design talent

Pop star Aviv Geffen, hailed as Israel’s answer to Robbie Williams, has launched a design competition to find a raft of creative talent to help him promote his upcoming album, video and tour.

The F-Gen competition, which closes at the end of December, has been set up to discover a budding graphic designer to produce digital and print artwork supporting Geffen’s next album, while a nascent video director will produce a music video for the singer’s next single, and a stylist will create a look for the upcoming tour.

Record company ATC Management is organising the competition, says an F-Gen spokeswoman, though Geffen is funding the competition entirely from his own pocket.

All three winners will receive a cash prize, as well a project budget: the video director will win £8000 and will be granted a £10 000 budget; while the stylist can expect £3000 prize money and a budget of £5000. The winning graphic designer will scoop £2000 and will have £3000 to help realise the album artwork.

The judging process, including a judging panel, is currently being finalised, according to an F-Gen spokeswoman.

The closing date for entries is 31 December.
