The Core creates Christmas Pot Noodle

The Core has designed the packaging for a Christmas flavour of Pot Noodle, called Pot Noeldle.

The consultancy began work on the project in March following previous work on Pot Noodle packaging for Unilever, which owns the brand.

The packaging features a red, green and gold colour scheme and a background of snowflakes made from forks and Christmas crackers. The Pot Noeldle lettering has been arranged to create a pot, which holds a decorated Christmas tree.

The pot’s lid has been designed to resemble a bauble, which can be peeled off and attached to a tree. The underside features a cracker joke.

The Core managing director Nick Green says, ‘It’s a spoof take on Christmas. “The gift that keeps on giving” is the idea behind the design.’

The flavour, which has been described by the company as a ‘festive fusion of turkey and stuffing with all the trimmings’, was developed and trialed using British troops serving overseas.

A donation of 2p from every pot will be given to the RAF Association’s Miles More Minutes project, which aims to help soldiers overseas spend longer speaking to their families in the UK.
