Illustrating London Fashion Week
Today sees the opening of London Fashion Week, and WeTransfer is celebrating thorough a series of illustrations by French illustrator Damien Cuyper.
Throughout this weekend, Cuyper will be illustrating live from the shows, capturing their sartorial glory in his vibrant, cute illustration style.
His images will be showcased as full-screen backgrounds on WeTransfer, so even if your front-row invite was lost in the post, you can feel part of the action as you while away the moments downloading the other exciting things you have been sent, digitally.
Shows including Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson and House of Holland will all feature.
The project is a collaboration between WeTransfer and the British Fashion Council, and the file-sharing service hopes it will serve to enhance its creative credentials, following the appointment of designer and artist Nelly Ben Hayoun as head of experience in December last year.
Caroline Rush, British Fashion Council chief executive, says, ‘WeTransfer is an integral platform for anyone working in a fast paced creative industry so it’s fantastic that while users all over the world are sharing files we will be able to share a slice of the London Fashion Week action, uniquely captured by Cuyper’s distinctive and energetic sketches’.
