A Notting Hill restaurant is my home from home…

Further to the news that the new Design Bites initiative from the RIBA and the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards provides design-led guided tours of restaurants (Voxpop, DW 2 June), plus Grant Windridge’s choice of his favourite restaurants and his reasons why (Letters, DW 16 June), my own favourite resturant will come as no surprise to anyone who knows me.

I can be found most weekend afternoons in Pan-Asian restaurant and bar E&O in London’s Notting Hill, just a short walk from Portobello Market.

Since E&O first opened about ten years ago, the minimalist decor has aged well and has a perfect lived-in, warm and welcoming feel. With great food and lovely staff, this restaurant is on one of the nicest street corners in London.

The only downer for me is that they stopped serving Guinness a few years ago.
