ICA opens new media centre

The Institute of Contemporary Arts on London’s Mall has opened a new media centre for multimedia artists with 2m backing from Sun Microsystems.

Interiors are by architectural collaboration FAT (Fashion Architecture Taste), which has also refurbished the bar area.

The ICA/Sun New Media Centre boasts a state-of-the-art digital facility “where artists of all kinds can collaborate in making new, and as yet unimagined work”, says an ICA spokesman.

The centre’s website is by AMX Digital and can be found at http://www.newmediacentre.com.

The ICA celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.
