Pissing yourself with laughter?

When the new season of TV’s Fantasy Football starts, watch out for the studio audience shifting uncomfortably on their sofas.

Light & Coley’s senior designer Sarah “Bob” Fagan and account handler Rebecca Heap were in the audience for one show. They were delighted when, after generous pre-show beers, they were singled out from the masses on the normal TV studio bench seating and plonked on one of the prime sofas at the front.

But Sarah and Rebecca soon discovered an unfortunate insight into the world of telly. Although the show as broadcast is only half an hour long, it actually takes two hours to record.

Sarah confides coyly: “I was absolutely dying for a pee all the way through, but couldn’t leave the studio because I was right at the front.”

After much hard concentration on Sarah’s part, the recording finally ended and gingerly she made her way to the loo – accompanied by an equally contained Rebecca.

“I confessed to Rebecca that I had even considered actually doing it on the sofa and hoping no one would notice,” says Sarah. “And she confessed she’d been thinking the same thing.”

Girls, the show is amusing, but not funny enough to piss yourself. And certainly not on the sofa.
