Imagination takes top prize at Bima awards

Imagination, Randommedia and Poke all scooped multiple prizes at the 21st British Interactive Media Association awards, which took place in London last week.

The Grand Prix went to Imagination for its design of Samsung’s Experience centre (pictured), which opened in New York in February this year (DW 27 January). The consultancy also picked up three further awards, in the Education and Training, Wild Card for Innovation and Best Installation or Kiosk categories.

Poke won two Bima trophies: Best Integrated Campaign for its work for Orange and the Charity award for its Christian Aid on-line projects. Randommedia took the Entertainment award for its Sony Computer Entertainment work and the Information award for the BBC project, Excess All Areas.

Bima chairman Liz Citron claims that on-line and interactive creativity are ‘being taken more seriously than ever’, as part of successful communication with audiences.
