BIMA awards score record

Winners of the UK’s longest running interactive awards scheme were announced on Monday, after record entries. The British Interactive Multimedia Association Awards attracted 335 contenders.

Website and CD-ROM designs represented the bulk of the entries, but interactive kiosks and CDs were also in the running.

The winners include Deepend, which took the Entertainment On-Line category for its development of http://www.cartoon-network.co.uk and the Bates Interactive BIMA Members Choice award for Volkswagen’s New Beetle website.

Hyperlink won the retail category for the kiosk it developed for Waterstone’s, while Billco Multimedia was commended for its interactive kiosk for games manufacturer Hasbro. Real Time Studio won the British Telecom E-Commerce Award for fashion retailer Diesel’s website.
