Lighthouse takes PAI on board

Marketing services group Lighthouse Holdings has added San Francisco branding and design group Primo Angeli to its portfolio of companies for an undisclosed sum.

The move follows Lighthouse’s acquisition of Fitch (DW 2 April).

PAI has developed brands and corporate identities for clients including Ben & Jerry’s, Coca-Cola, Del Monte, Guinness, Intel, Nestlé, Wells Fargo and Visa and created the “look and feel” of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. It has won more than 400 design awards since it was founded in the 1960s.

Lighthouse Holdings president Martin Beck describes PAI as a world-recognised leader in branding and identity work. “PAI’s strengths complement those of Fitch. Together the two businesses form an international design and marketing powerhouse,” he says.

PAI principal Jim Goodell says, “After reviewing a number of offers over several years, we believe Lighthouse provides the ideal environment in which PAI can continue to grow.”
