5 The work of French graffiti artist Blek Le Rat is celebrated in a forthcoming book, Getting Through Walls, by his wife Sybille Prou and King Adz. It is published by Thames & Hudson, priced £11.95. There is an accompanying exhibition of his work at The Black Rat Gallery, London EC2 from 9 May.

6 The Nancy Victor Gallery in London’s Charlotte Street, W1is exhibiting the first solo show of work by artist and designer LX One. Curated by graffiti artist Remi/Rough, it includes ten pieces of machine-cut photomontaged letter shapes. When viewed from a distance, the shapes make up images – the largest depicts an eye and is entitled ‘You should close your eyes in order to see it’. The exhibition runs until 9 May.
