Fineartcircle.com presents States of Being, from 4-11 November. The group, consisting of four artists from London, Cape Town, New York and Perth, explores the human spirit in art.

Venue: Loading Bay Gallery, Brick Lane, London E1.

American artist Andrea Zittel exhibits and inhabits her A-Z Cellular Compartment Units, until 2 December. The work is a network of boxes that can be stacked next to, or on top of each other and will be customised by Zittel on-site to meet her everyday needs.

Painters Gabriela Trynkler and Jayne Jones explore the sensual nature of paint in Gravity; Time; Colour; Touch until 24 November.

Artist Laura Mousavi-Zadeh shows paintings inspired by the 1996 FBI stakeout and subsequent capture of Ted Kaczynski, aka the Una-bomber, at his Montana retreat at Unabomber and the Cabin, from 2 November until 13 December.

Former Turner Prize winner Gillian Wearing holds a retrospective exhibition from 3 November until 5 January 2002. Her photography and video work highlights human relationships and hidden elements of individual personalities.

Venue: Angel Row Gallery, Central Library Building, 3 Angel Row, Nottingham NG1 6HP.

Work by this year’s Turner Prize-shortlisted artists is on show from 7 November until 20 January 2002.
