…as Real Studios spins off from Event

A spin-off group called Real Studios has been formed by three former employees of Event Communications. The group offers exhibition design and project management.

Real Studios directors Alistair McCaw and Yvonne Golds were Event senior designer and designer, respectively. Victoria Cook will handle research and marketing. All three left in August.

“We recognise the need within the design industry for smaller companies which offer a high level of commitment and service at a more approachable level, particularly with the bigger design groups devoting significant time and resources to millennium projects,” says Cook. Real Studios is currently working with Event on a visitor centre in Ireland.

Sixty-strong Event has recently brought in four senior designers: Dorian Eley from Henry Lowe, Sanja Jurca who ran an MA at Central St Martins, Gavin Rowbotham from Michael Hopkins, and Matt Biggs from Ivor Heal.
