Strange coincidence at award ceremony

Knight in designer armour Sir Terence Conran was in the US recently to accept an award from the World Design Foundation for helping to further design education. Could the importance of this award be in any way lessened by the fact that the wife of designer and World Design Foundation member Louis Nelson got one too?
