Show is Saved! by team effort

CZWG Architects’ Piers Gough and Interbrand start work this week on a flagship exhibition for London’s Hayward Gallery, entitled Saved!, which opens in the autumn.

Gough is creating the physical 3D elements for the show, including installation design, display cases and space planning. He is also working with lighting designer John Johnson.

The final selection of art is due to finish next week, after which CZWG will start design work.

‘We’re starting the initial sketch design stage, and deciding what [work] to borrow,’ says Gough.

Interbrand is designing the graphic identity, posters, tickets and all related graphics work for the exhibition, says a Hayward Gallery spokeswoman. The group declined to comment about its involvement – an Interbrand spokeswoman would only say work is at ‘very early stages’.

Saved! runs from 23 October to 18 January 2004.
