Revamp for Adnams packaging

Design Bridge has redesigned the packaging for Adnams’ off-trade beer brands Broadside and Suffolk Strong Bitter, as part of its reworking of the independent regional brewer’s identity.

Inspired by Southwold – home to Adnams – Design Bridge has incorporated the seaside town’s lighthouse as the icon for Suffolk Strong Bitter cans and bottles, together with the landscape of the town.

Design Bridge creative director Graham Shearsby says: “We have tried to challenge the accepted norms of beer packaging design, avoiding references to Victoriana to create brands that will be equally at home in an urban bar or a small Suffolk pub.”

The designs follow Design Bridge’s relaunch of Adnams’ corporate identity and on-trade beer brands Bitter and Broadside earlier this year.
