Lambie-Nairn branding for UKTV

Lambie-Nairn has created the brand identity and a series of on-screen idents for UKTV and its sub brands, including UK Horizons and UK Gold, all of which launch this week.

The consultancy could be in line for further branding work when UKTV launches another channel later this year.

A UKTV spokeswoman says: “UKTV is in discussions about launching a new channel, with an announcement expected within three weeks.”

Lambie-Nairn claims it will continue to work with the broadcaster “as brands evolve and new channels launch”. The consultancy created the original branding for the channels when they launched in 1997.

As part of the branding project, the consultancy has created identities for UK Horizons, UK Gold, UK Style and UK Drama. Lambie-Nairn also created the identity for PlayUK, which was launched in November.

The consultancy, which has clients including the BBC and ITN, has also developed a set of brand guidelines which will be used to create off-air branding for material, including stationery and literature.

Lambie-Nairn won the work via a creative pitch.
