Johnson Banks will rebrand CABE

A rebrand of the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment by Johnson Banks will go ahead this autumn, despite being delayed by the intervention of Cabe’s incoming chairman, John Sorrell.

The identity was scheduled to launch in late spring or early summer (DW 6 January), but was postponed to involve Sorrell and new chief executive Richard Simmons in the process.

Johnson Banks’ appointment was made before Sorrell became chairman, but, despite the delays, the consultancy was retained on the project.

The identity is still in development. The original proposals have been adjusted following input from Sorrell and Simmons and a final agreement is expected by autumn.

‘It has been progressing well and Johnson Banks will deliver a full identity,’ says Cabe director of communications Matthew Bell.
